We always 'soft release' our fit-again hedgehogs by asking owners of the release site to provide a nestbox and a nightly top-up of food. He will have spent his last weeks with us in our design box and to move into an identical box with his own bedding 'smelling nicely of home' will make his transfer as stress-free and successful as possible.

We keep a record of releases into our boxes, and are always pleased to receive any feedback. Should he move on, but wild hedgehogs will still visit your garden, and we can always release another some time.

Designed and used successfully by us in our garden pens and enclosed gardens, our sturdy nestboxes and feeding stations are made in the Community Service Workshops of the National Probation Service for Leicestershire and Rutland.
