Jacko

Jacko was one of those problem babies that simply refused to grow, he arrived weighing just 55 grams but his face was that of a 6 week old hedgehog. His eyes were continually gummed up with conjuctivitis and his scabby underside was devoid of fur - what a pathetic little scrap!

Although very lively and seemingly unbothered by his problems, he ate very little and we had resort to syringe feeds when his weight dropped. After a 6 week battle, Jacko must have taken pity on us because one night he cleared his supper dish and has never looked back. His under fur grew thick and soft and we found an enclosed garden where he can be monitored before release into the wild.
